So now i have bought a WSA1 as my newest Technics toy grin

I am new to this game and would like to ask what software you would recommend for
making some ambient and industrial tracks.

I have 2 Pc's (both windows 10) a stationary i7 with 16Gb ram and a Surface Pro i5 8Gb

I have a iRig midi2 interface

Best regards Thorfinn

Hi Thorfinn, Welcome to the site! I don't know where the welcoming committee is, they must be off on vacation or something.
My name is Thor also, isn't that a coincidence. I have the rack mounted WSA1R version, that was all I could find at the time.
I find programmable synths fascinating myself, I have several of them now, the WSA1R is the newest one.

Software to make ambient tracks? I suppose just about any sequencer or DAW would work. It all depends on what you intend on doing.
Do you have other synthesizers? Do you intend on getting any VST's? (I don't have any... I like hardware instead.)
Do you want to mimic real instruments and musicians, or is more futuristic music your thing?
Regards, Thor Z.

To both of our Thor members, May I say Welcome to the Site !!!!!, on a humorous note it proves you are not getting a computer-generated welcome and also the fact there is a real human here. !! I hope you will enjoy the site and feel free to comment and exchange ideas with all. My main area of expertise is more with the arranger keyboards etc, rather than the synth models WSA1/R although many people don't realize the WSA1 is an extended KN3000 with a more extensive editing system and less of the auto-play features.
So as part of the human admin Welcome and enjoy.
Regards John

Re: Hi, a new WSA1 owner :-)

Thanks Thor and John for welcoming me smiling

My wife and i are relocating for the moment.

Moving out of the city to get some more space for our hobbies
so my WSA1 is waiting for me to get some time for it.

I really need some hi-res scans of the manual for WSA1 , the copies
i have found is really hard to read, that's slowing me down a lot.

I have no plan of buying software synths , i like to get "my hands dirty" with
hardware smiling and the WST1 is my only keyboard.

"See you all" later this summer when we are relocated.

Best regards Thorfinn
